Dylan Fema - Greenhouse Operator and Skilled Trades Professional
A resident of Genoa, Wisconsin, Dylan Fema attended Western Technical College, where he focused his studies on horticulture and welding. Dylan Fema earned formal recognition for his academic accomplishments upon completing the welding program.
Since 2022, Dylan Fema has co-owned and operated Homegrown Valley Fresh with his mother, managing a greenhouse that cultivates produce and fish. He oversees all daily operations, including monitoring water nutrients, maintaining plant health, harvesting and storing produce, and caring for equipment.
From 2016 to 2022, Mr. Fema worked as a carpenter and construction laborer at Castle Place in La Crosse, Wisconsin, framing and finishing homes, installing exterior components, and completing his first full house. Earlier in his career, he served as a farm hand at Hass & Proksch Family Farm from 2012 to 2018, feeding and medicating livestock and maintaining the animals’ living spaces. Between 2008 and 2015, he worked with WFP, preparing apartments for new tenants through cleaning, painting, flooring, and minor installations.
